SALLY HOBBS
I graduated from the College of Osteopaths in 1991 with a Diploma in Osteopathy and Naturopathy. I set up and ran three osteopathic clinics, two of which were in GP surgeries so I’m very used to working with doctors and other medical staff. My naturopathic studies were continued with a 3 year part-time course with the London College of Naturopathic Medicine.
Although osteopathic treatment is extremely successful as a treatment modality, it became increasingly clear to me that nutrition is always an important factor and I’ve given nutritional advice as well as physical treatment as part of a holistic approach to health problems. And of course the mental/emotional aspects of an individual’s life must be considered equally with the physical.
Training and education
I graduated from the College of Osteopaths in 1991 with a Diploma in Osteopathy and Naturopathy and now combine both those disciplines under naturopathy. I attended the London College of Nutritional Medicine for three years on a part-time basis to increase my naturopathic knowledge. I regularly update my skills by attending courses relevant to the profession.
As well as keeping up to date with new developments in science and medicine, I’m currently studying for a BSc in Nutrition Science with Middlesex University.
